Mind Furniture played on Rogue's Gallery!

A big thanks goes out to Frans Keylard for featuring Mind Furniture on two recent prog radio shows and podcasts. The Trial of God suite was played in its entirety on June 5th (Show #302). THE CD IS FINALLY RELEASED!!!

Hoop of Flame is out officially "out" on the Musea Label today. We are all very excited, relieved, ecstatic, bored, and proud that this project is finally completed and we can share it our fans at last (all 2 of you!).

6 years in the making (technically). Although, we started the recording process 3 or 4 years ago. What a trek. The next one in 2 years, max.

Well, it seems most of Europe takes August off, and that seems to be the case in France for sure. The Hoop of Flame release was supposed to be out in August, but it looks like it will be September or later at this point. Why should anything about this CD go quickly?!?

It will be worth the wait, though.

We have been contacting labels. After a false start with a Swiss label that seems to be closing its doors just as we were getting close to a commitment, we were offered a spot on the Musea label from France. Musea is one of the premier progressive rock labels and we are thrilled that we will be working with them for the Hoop of Flame release.

We wrapped up on the new CD this Spring. We had decided to go with Thomas Carr for the Mastering. We had a couple of good sessions at the Annex in Menlo Park.

We had some discussions on the title. It looks like we are going to go with "Hoop of Flame", which is the name of the one of the 2 suites on the CD. We considered "Trial of God" (the other suite) as well as "Smashed and Defamed" (a line from Trial of God).

Next step: finding a label.

Hey all -
Our first mastering session is now done and we have a prototype of the new CD for review!!!!Although I'm sure there will be a couple of little nits to take care of, it sounds really good. Next step is shopping it around to get it picked up for distribution.

Hey folks!!! After much work we're now going to master the new CD. Word is that Bill will be flying in from Boise to join us. Mastering happens 28OCT06 so stay tuned. Things are happening.

Hello All,

Well, it has been a long difficult haul to get the last few tracks recorded on the new CD. SBC has been working Bill Estes double-time for months now. However, the good news is that the final recording sessions are finally scheduled for mid-March.

Also, Mind Furniture has resumed it's weekly practice/writing sessions and is finishing up the writing of the final piece for the new CD. The track is called "The Verdict" and is an instrumental that wraps up the "Trial of God" suite.

We should be mixing by mid-April and should have the CD completed and ready for distribution by the beginning of July. I never would have guessed that it would take 2 years to record a CD. But it has.
